Fake media postcard

Hey bloggers , welcome back to my blog. Today I am sharing with you a postcard I made for a cybersmart lesson. This postcard is definitely fake, it is a piece of fake media. We just had to write things inside and then put a picture of auckland or a place in auckland in the front. We did this to understand how people persuade people to come to places. So we did the same thing we persuaded someone to come to auckland or any other place. I had fun making this little piece of fake media.

Anyways here is a picture of the inside...

and a picture of the outside.

I hope you liked my postcard.

Bye!

Fake media

Hello bloggers! Today I am telling you about fake media.

Fake media is when someone takes a photo or video and edits it and like puts a photo of them self

To persuade people that they have been here or they have this, something like that. I made a fake media piece that I would like to show you. But of course this was just for fun, not to trick people or anything.

Well mine is about that I am with penguins on a beach an I am in the water. Well anyways here is a picture of it.

I hope you like it. Bye!

Fish tessellation

Hey guys and welcome back to another blog of mine. Today I am telling you about a fish tessellation.

Tessellations are a pattern with a rule. The rule is that in the pattern there shouldn't be any gaps or overlaps. So basically what you do in a tessellation is, you pick a shape or two and then you have to make a pattern with them while you apply the one rule it has.

So, I made a tessellation with fishes, they are not a proper drawn fish because we have to make the fishes fit together and the one rule has to apply.

Well here is a picture of my fish tessellation.

If you would like to then you can  make your own fish tessellation using this link to a video which will help you. Link - Fish Tessellation

I hope you like my picture, thank you for reading my blog.

BYE!

My incredible feelings

Hi guys today I am telling you how I feel for the week.

First of all I feel like this week is going to be busy and exciting.

I feel that way because when I look at how much I have to do a day with not only school work but also with home tasks and by looking at that schedule I  think that my days this week are going to be busy and exciting because the tasks I have to do are cool.

Something going well for me this week is that I stay busy till 2.00 pm doing my tasks and the rest of the day I do other things and I like it when I stay busy so I don't get bored in lockdown.

Something not going well this week for me is actually nothing, because this week is amazing.

This week I am looking forward to my tasks and a birthday party that is in the park, I am really excited for all of this.

So this is how I feel this week and I hope you also have a great week!

BYE, see you in my next blog!

Rangolis

Hello bloggers and welcome back to another one of my blogs. Today I am telling you about rangolis.

By the way, HAPPY DIWALI! We hindus, make rangolis on Diwali. We make rangolis with powder colours, that is the traditional way, but if you want you can also make a rangoli for fun with coloured chalk. Making a rangoli the traditional way can be a little hard but for me it is also lots of fun, I am sure making a rangoli out of coloured chalk is also a lot of fun! We can also make flower rangolis, where in some areas of the rangoli we put some flower petals instead of colour! I have never made one of those but I really want to.  Well here is a picture of my rangoli. This rangoli has symmetry, rotation, reflection and translation.

Anyways here is a picture of my rangoli.

Well, can you tell me in the comment if you know where I started my rangoli?

Also tell me in the comments if you made a rangoli with chalk!

Hope you liked my rangoli, BYE!!

Tessellations

Hi guys, today I am telling you about tessellations. Tessellations are patterns that have no gaps or overlapping, all the shapes in a tessellation have to be the same size and all the shapes have to meet a same looking vertex. Tessellations are a bit hard to understand but as you do them it gets easier. One of our tasks were to learn about tessellations and create a tessellation of our own.

Here is mine.

It is not fully a tessellation but it is one.

If you want to make your own tessellation then here is a link to a site where I made my tessellation and you can too. Link - Tessellations

I hope you have fun making you tessellation.

A flower puzzle

Hey guys, welcome back! Today I am sharing the puzzle I did. Well it was a flower puzzle and it had the colours red, pink, orange and yellow. I will show you pictures of my puzzle later on. Well I did that puzzle because, our teacher made a slide presentation and then my class and I added a slide on the presentation each with our names on it. We had a jamboard where we put down the things we wanted to do so we don't get bored because in our class there were some students who got bored during google meets. Anyways from that jamboard we picked most of our ideas and listed them on our own slides. Then we had to pick one of them (I picked Origami) and put a link to it, so I put a link to an origami site, so my class can access the site and do some origami. Then we had to pick one for ourselves, I picked jigsaw puzzles. So I did one and now finally this blog is coming to a end and I am going to show you the pictures of my puzzle!

Do you remember that the other day I blogged about me starting to learn the longest word well now I have basically finished learning it. Did you try learning it, its okay if you didn't. Janmasthami

Hello. Today I am telling you about something that you might have not heard about and that is JANMASTHAMI!!! I hope from this blog you guys learn some facts about janmasthami. I hope you like this.

Janmasthami is basically the birthday of lord Krishna, one of the special gods in hindu culture. Lord Krishna was born a 12.00 at night. Janmasthami includes a time of 5 days and the five days are

1. Naag Pancham

2. Rathan Chatt

3. Shitila satam

4. Janmasthami - (the day of Krishna's birth)

5. Nom/Parna

So those are the five days. Here is some more information about these days.

Naag Pancham

Naag means snake and Pancham means 5, according to our Gujarati calendar Naag Pancham is the 5th day of the month. On this day we do a pooja/prayer to a Naag/snake. Basically on this day we worship snakes by offering them milk, water, flowers and sweets. So that is what Naag Pancham is.

Rathan Chatt

Rathan Chatt is the day we cook all the food for Shitila Satam. That is all we do an Rathan Chatt.

Shitila Satam

On this day we hindus only eat cold food that we made on the previous day. We can not eat anything Hot or warm on this day, So that is what Shitila Satam is about.

Janmasthami

Now finally Janmasthami, on this day we fast and we only eat root vegetables. 12.00 at night we do a very big pooja and we bath Lord Krishna and dress him with nice and beautiful clothes. That is what Janmasthami is.

Nom/Parna

This is the last day. On this day  we celebrate and eat sweets and stuff. Thats it.

I hope you guys learnt something from this information. Well here is a pictures of my Lord Krishna.

I hope you guys like my Lord Krishna.
BYE!!!

Blog comments

Today I learnt how to write a good and helpful blog comment. I learnt that a blog comment is framed like this, first a greeting, then something positive then something thoughtful and at last something  helpful. If you write a blog comment like this then it will be nice and the reader of your blog comment will feel great. Next time when you write a blog comment frame it like this, your blog comment will be way better!

I hope you like my blog! See you next time!

Hockey

 Hokey Dribbling Skills

Hi welcome back. This week on Wednesday we were practising how to do dribbling with a hockey stick. It was a bit hard , but then I got how to do it. Our teacher ( Ms. Corbett ) told us that the ball should only be pushed by the flat part of the hockey stick and that you push the ball and not hit it. We used some cones to practice by putting them in a line and pushing the ball around them. After we practised we had a game of girls vs boys, the boys team was the fastest. It was an incredible experience. In our class there is one kid that plays hockey he also gave us some tips. By that we got better.
So that is what I learnt in hockey. I hope you like my blog. Bye!

My Holidays

MY INCREDIBLE HOLIDAYS!

In my incredible holidays I went to two amazing places! The two places are Magic loft and the Auckland Museum! I have a lot to tell you about the Museum, but not so much about Magic Loft. I did so much things in both places.

Magic Loft is a place with lots of trampolines and a super duper gigantic activity area. Inside the area there was huge slides, wiggly beams, hanging ropes and so much more. I went there with two of my best friends. That place was amazing for us. It was so much fun!!
The Auckland Museum, I have so much to tell! First of all we went there for a special exhibition the exhibition was called SEA MONSTERS EXHIBITION!! It was so cool in the exhibition I learnt a lot about big sea creatures and I had so much fun. Then we went to see some cool things about NZ'S history.
It was interesting. Then we visited some other little places. But then we finally went to the volcano room.
In the volcano room there was information about volcanoes and different textured rocks , we felt them. After that the best thing was the VOLCANO SHAKE!! The volcano shake is when you go in a room and there is a big screen. On that screen there was a video playing about volcanoes, so in the video when the volcano erupts the room starts shaking. So we basically feel the volcano erupting. That was the coolest part for me.

So that is all the things I did in MY INCREDIBLE HOLIDAYS. I had a really amazing and incredible time. The best two places for me are MAGIC LOFT AND AUCKLAND MUSEUM!  I loved it.

Fale points for week 9

This a graph of the school house points. I found this out by the current school house points.

From this graph I can see that;

  • Rata has the most points
  • Kowhai has third most points
  • Totara has the second most points
  • Kauri has the least amount of points!
I think its unlikely for Kauri to catch up to Rata. Kauri will need 200 points to catch up , normally teams earn 60 points a day.

Simplifying Fractions

Today we were learning how to simplify fractions. The first thing I did was I looked for a number  that is divisible by both numerator and denominator. The first fraction I did was 12/15, I chose the number 3 because it is divisible by 12 and 15, then I divided 3 by 12 and 15. So for 12 I got 4 and for 15 I got 5, also  3x4= 12 and 3x5= 15!

Spreadsheets - Analysis of Completed Tasks for Monday 28 June

On Monday Ms Corbett was sick. The reliever  didn't come! The class got split into groups and were sent to different classes. Ms Corbett emailed  the Tasks for the day. Here is a graph of the tasks our class finished.  From this graph I can see that there were 22 students in class that day. I know that by adding

  • The Purple box = 1 student
  • The Pink box =  6 students
  • The Maroon box = 7 students
  • The Yellow box = 6 students
  • The blue box = 2 students
  • In total = 22 students
From this graph I can see that

1 student didn't do any tasks

6 students finished 1 task

7 students finished 2 tasks

6 students finished 3 tasks and

Only 2 students finished all of the tasks.

I think Ms Corbett was very disappointed because 6 people only finished 1 task and 1 person finished 0 tasks. I was one of the 2 people that completed  all the tasks. Next time I hope everyone finishes their  work  before playing any games and focuses on their work instead of talking to people. That is what I think!!

Animation

Today I did a walking animation.  I made a google drawing of a person , I picked a background for my slides , I used 12 slides and I made the person go a bit forward on every single slide, so it looks like it is walking. From this project I learnt how to make a person on google drawing and how to animate. The part that was hard is making the person go a bit forward on every slide because for me it is hard to estimate how much forward should the person go.  Anyways, here is a clip of my animation!!
