Naag Pancham
Naag means snake and Pancham means 5, according to our Gujarati calendar Naag Pancham is the 5th day of the month. On this day we do a pooja/prayer to a Naag/snake. Basically on this day we worship snakes by offering them milk, water, flowers and sweets. So that is what Naag Pancham is.
Rathan Chatt
Rathan Chatt is the day we cook all the food for Shitila Satam. That is all we do an Rathan Chatt.
Shitila Satam
On this day we hindus only eat cold food that we made on the previous day. We can not eat anything Hot or warm on this day, So that is what Shitila Satam is about.
Janmasthami
Now finally Janmasthami, on this day we fast and we only eat root vegetables. 12.00 at night we do a very big pooja and we bath Lord Krishna and dress him with nice and beautiful clothes. That is what Janmasthami is.
